Growing Time

Isabella seems to be going through another growth spurt. She ways roughly 25lbs. and is about 27.25in. long. From one day to the next she seems to be larger...and not just in round plumpiness!!! She's been sleeping quite a bit and very hungry. As we mentioned last time, she has been army crawling for a couple of weeks. But if you put bottle a few feet from her on the floor, you have never seen her move faster! Enjoy the photo gallery...

Bella's getting very active

Sorry that we haven't posted in a week, but we have had our hands full with the little princess. Machel had a wedding in California that she went to and Uncle Luke came to visit Bella. Bella has been doing some things lately that are really surprising! Machel has been working hard with Bella and with the PT to get Bella more active. She is army crawling, but doesn't quite have a full crawl down yet. She is sitting up really well and yesterday watched an entire Baby Einstein DVD sitting on the floor next to mommy! She is starting to learn to pull herself up and she stands really well. Enjoy the pictures of our little Big girl!!

We miss our Charlottesville friends!!

I love to roll and army crawl on the floor

Always So Blessed

Everyday I am with Bella, at some point in that day, I look down at her and just feel a rush of amazement that there is this little human developing each second that Chris and I made. From the toys she plays with, to the noises and words she hears, to the movements she makes...each piece is helping her learn and transition into a little girl from a tiny baby. I feel so honored to have this gift in my life. I cherish everything she delivers to the world...all the messiness, the silly outbursts, and the challenges of teaching her to catch up to an age she shouldn't be. It somehow still baffles me that she was produced inside of me. God is glorious to give women this gift, although we may have cursed it at the time of our child's delivery. Today, for instance, I was blessed with, not only having Bella take a long afternoon nap after a strenuous morning physical therapy session, but having her not want to wake up from that nap that led her to nuzzling on my chest to sleep another thirty minutes. She wrapped both of her delicate arms around my chest and settled her head on my collar bone. It made me feel so at peace with my child. It didn't take me long to remember the first time I held her, although nothing will compare to that moment, it surely wasn't far from it; and for that I am so grateful.

I was fortunate enough to get an update on my co-worker's niece, Jolee, this afternoon. Jolee is progressing well and her brain bleeds have begun to resolve on some level. Thank you for all your prayers for her journey.

With all the love in our hearts...Peace and God Bless to you all!!!

Grandma Nana visited

My mom flew in from Orlando Thursday night and stayed until Sunday. She hasn't seen Bella since the beginning of June. Last time she saw Bella she weighed 11lbs and now she weighs nearly 22lbs! Nana couldn't believe how active the princess was, rolling around everywhere, trying to crawl and inquisitive about everything. Nana and Bella spent lots of time together, she even slept in Bella's room, we have a full bed in there along with Bella's crib and changing table. We were so happy to see Nana and sad to see her go!! Here are some pictures of Bella with her Nana.

Big Girl 9 months old!

Well, we have been busy with our Big Girl. We had fun over Labor day at Grandmommy's house. Bella got a rash that we thought might be chicken pox, she had 40-50 red dots all over her body. I took her to the pediatrician and she said it was a common rash, Rosiola I think is the spelling and that it will go away in 72 hours, and it has!! While at the Pediatrician Bella was weighed again and she is 21lbs 9 ozs! What a cute chunky monkey!! She is so close to crawling and rolls all over the place. She is also sitting up well, but she is still very top heavy and her head eventually brings her back to the ground. She is becoming very inquisitive and grabs at everything! Machel gets the worst of this, Bella grabs for her glasses, necklace, earrings, hair, etc. Well, Bella just got to spend time with Machel's family (as you will see from the pictures) and my mom is flying in tonight for 3 days to be with the big princess, so she will obviously be spoiled after these 2 weeks of grandma attention!! Enjoy the pictures and god bless.

Prayer request, one of Machel's coworkers' niece had a preemie little girl last week, a 2lb 28 weeker, but she has had some brain bleeding, so please pray for all of god's little miracle babies.

I love my new toy, I crawl toward it and press the buttons! And I talk to everything!

I love play time with my daddy!!

This is me with uncle Joe, he isn't too happy with me because I spit up on him!!

I love my mommy!! And look I am a mini version of my mommy!! The baby pictures of both of them are almost identical!!

Thanks for the bath Grandmommy!! I love to take baths and splash the water.
