Weekend of Firsts

Boy did we have fun this weekend. Isabella and I returned home Saturday evening from another whirl wind trip to Austin for her helmet appointment. Which went great by the way...she doesn't have to go back for TWO WEEKS and will probably be done when we go back...what a relief!!!

The firsts started when Daddy put her down to sleep last night in her CRIB in HER ROOM, instead of in her pack-n-play in our room. She slept there all night as well as through the night. What a big girl!!! And I was actually able to keep myself out of the full size bed that sits next to hers; however, I did get up four different times just to look at her even though the monitor was set up right next to my head. Her next first was church service this morning. Chris and I decided last night that it would be safe to venture off to church figuring with it being summer that the congregations would be small. As advised we would sneak in last and out first (although it didn't quite happen that way). We actually ended up going to two different services. The first service we went to was at 8am. We snuck in at 8:10am only to realize it appeared the service was half way over, so confused. We ducked out early as well, while they were doing communion, and decided to head over to another church we found for the 9am service. It was AWESOME!!! We totally enjoyed ourselves, met some great people, and Isabella was smiling up a storm at everyone that rushed to greet her. We will definitely go back next weekend; the nursery didn't even have any children in it and the Sitter has a granddaughter that was born 3 months premature, what are the odds!?! Obviously we want to keep Bella with us if possible so she can enjoy the service with us. And yet Bella had another first awaiting her once we got home. We got the precious girl all ready to go to the neighborhood pool that opened a couple of weeks ago. The Little Swimmers went on, the 70spf was spread thick, and the cute bathing suit made a perfect picture. Luckily there was only a couple down there and no kiddos. We tried the kiddy pool first but discovered that it was just too cold, she let us know that by screaming at us. So Chris checked the big pool and found it to be much warmer. I passed Bella over to Daddy and the fun began. She really liked it, especially when Daddy bobbed her up and down out of the water and I jumped with her. Here are some pictures of Bella's FIRSTS. Peace, love and many blessings to all.
