Mommy & Daddy's little pumpkin
Thursday morning I woke up in a pumpkin kinda mood. I decided Isabella needed to get in the Halloween spirit with a little orange; pumpkin shirt, bow and earrings!
The pumpkin urge may have also come from my slightly impulsive nature last week. I had told Chris last weekend that if the Texas Rangers beat the Tampa Bay Rays to advance to the American League Championship series, I wanted to go see the Yankees take on the Rangers in Arlington (rooting for the Yankees of course). Tuesday night Game 5 approached between the Rangers and Rays. As I fed Zach and watched the Rangers wrap up that series, I hastely called Chris stressing that I still wanted to make the trip to Arlington. Fortunately Games 1 & 2 of the ALCS were in Arlington, game 2 being Saturday at 3pm. I was able to acquire tickets pretty easily, and in a shaded area. This last minute decision turned into a great family weekend. Friday night we had sushi, which we hadn't eaten in almost a year because of the pregnancy. Luke, the kids godfather, was also in the Dallas area for the weekend visiting family, so we were able to meet him for breakfast Saturday morning. After breakfast we headed over to the Fort Worth zoo, which was very nice and canopied. Bella had a great time and we relished in her observation of all the animals. Even after a busy morning, we were able to make it to our seats at the ballpark with kids in tow right as the game started. Zach slept peacefully on my chest while Bella sat in Chris's lap as we made it easily through 6 and a half innings. We left to beat traffic, rest up after a long day, and avoid watching the Yankees choke as they trailed 7-2. Regardless of the fast and tiring trip, we enjoyed being able to have these experiences with the kiddos, obviously more for us since they will never remember it!

I'm happy to see her still sporting the Halloween bow I made her :)
Such great pictures! What a wonderful weekend too! XOXO
Yay for a fun family weekend ... and yippee for the yankees coming to you ...
Thanks for the preemie clothes...while I certainly hope to never need them, I have found myself wishing I had just one of Sarah's tiny outfits lately (the pink sleeper with roses on it, in particular). Now I do -- what a great, unexpected gift! No worries on it taking a while -- you have been very busy :) and I never missed tiny clothes until my baby boy started walking in the past couple weeks! Thanks again -- don't know how you kept the clothes and addresses straight across nearly 2 years and 2 kids! Impressive!
