Baby Bella Day 62

HAPPY 2 MONTH BIRTHDAY!!! I was so excited tonight that I actually went up to the hospital dripping in sweat after doing yoga to see the precious baby around the time of her birth. As usual she was sleeping soundly, so I gave her kisses and left quickly (but not without a few funny looks at my appearance). And then tonight, when she was awake for 9pm care, I played her a recorded message of her Daddy's voice. It was so cute the way her eyes followed over to the voice and she reached out her little hand.

Bella's weight is surprisingly down slightly tonight to 1755grams. The only thing worth mentioning is the white spot on her mucous fistula. That turned to a fluid pocket yesterday and then had a black middle to it. Dr. McGahren looked at it this evening and said that it was simply a stitch working its way up. He didn't seem that concerned about it. We are thinking the reattachment of her small intestine will be around Feb. 20. I am so looking forward to the day that happens. I hate to see her go back into surgery, but I am excited about her little bowel being back together. They even put a binder on her desk area for discharge procedures...it will be here before we know it!!!

Although I miss Chris dearly, I am very happy to be here with Bella and so thankful. I feel so blessed with my life right now. Thank you all for your support and interest in Bella's story. I love seeing on the map all of the people and places that come to visit. I know that so much of my own strength comes from the love I feel that surrounds our family. Thank you all for the prayers and love. I hope all of you are doing well, may God continue to bless you and your families!!!

Yea!! I'm so happy to hear she is doing so well. You and Chris are absolutely awesome and I truly believe it is your strength and faith in the Lord that are getting little Bella through.

She will be home before you know it!
