Baby Bella Day 65

I seem to get more anxious each passing day about Bella's reattachment surgery. As the time gets closer by the day, it has the feeling of getting farther away as reality. I think Mere explained it best in an email exchange when she said "the end just felt like we were SOO close and yet SOO far away." When I first read that I was a little curious, now I totally understand. There is this feeling that Bella has one more hurdle to pass and we can take her home. I completely trust in God, knowing the miracles and blessings He gives us each day. I simply need to pray for patience over the next couple of weeks as the potential surgery date gets closer.

Isabella had a nice day. She got to cuddle with Mommy for two hours this afternoon and slept the entire time. Her 6 hour trials on the cannula are going well. Her weight remained exactly the same and her weekly length measurement showed she is 17 inches. Boring is so good!!!

Job 9:10
He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

Peace be with you & God Bless!

Machel,
Ahh...you are close! Don't worry! It seemed to me once Parker hit 3lbs 4lbs came really quickly...then 5lbs was even faster! Each ounce Bella gains is a little more lung tissue. And lung tissue is "stronger closer to the door". Bella is so beautiful and you ARE getting there! Her surgery is getting close and then she will be home before you know it!

Reading your post and Parker's mom's comments about feeling things happening faster, I am sure it will be the same for Isabella and you. She has come so far and done so well. And so have you and Chris. And Grandma is on her way. You girls will have a wonderful time. PEACE TO YOU, and God's blessings. LUV U M

Any thoughts of the plan after reattachment? To cannula, bottle feed and then adios? She's getting there!

I was reading John 11 for a Bible study I'm in, and it made me think of you guys and baby Bella. John 11:4 (NLT) says, "But when Jesus heard about it he said, 'Lazarus's sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.'" It has been so awesome to read about Bella's recovery, and I KNOW that God has been glorified through your faith in his provision and healing powers! Bella is so lucky to have such a wonderful mommy and daddy!
