The little chunky monkey didn't gain any weight tonight, which is probably a good thing! Isabella is up to 20mL every 3 hours of Pedialyte. If she makes it through the night on the Pedialyte she will start back on breast milk tomorrow, WOOHOO!!! And she also seems to be doing well on the bottle, another step in the right direction. Bella also had a couple of very small diapers throughout the day. Hey, a smear is better than nothing! On the down side though, she had to go back to the radiant warmer bed. She just wasn't keeping her temperature up the way she needed. It wasn't too low, but they didn't want to stress or push her body too much. So hopefully in a couple of days she will be back in the bassinet for good.
Rebecca and Jennifer came back tonight. It is nice being able to spend time with them, like having a piece of home in Virginia. They were both amazed at how good Bella looks, how much she's filled out, and all of her adorable expressions.
I really want to thank all the women that threw my mommy a surprise "granmommy shower" tonight. That was the most awesome thing and it really takes great friends to give her something like that. Thanks for looking out for her and keeping her spirits up. I feel blessed to have you ladies in my life, I can only imagine how great you make her feel.
I thought the following is fitting for the friendship we share each day and the way you build our family up:
Jude 1:20-21
But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
