Baby Bella Day 96

Homeward Bound...

By the way, opthamology has said that Bella's eyes look very good after the laser procedure. Pediatric surgery also continues to be pleased with her progress and call her their shining star.

A Poem for Isabella
As a young girl there are several things we dream of
First is walking down the aisle with your father
Then to eventually have a daughter
You long for the day you are all grown up
The moment that playing house and dressing up dolls
Becomes reality and a destiny evolved
When that day finally comes around
You and the man of your dreams don't know what to expect
Fear runs through your veins and think "are we ready yet"
It is often taken for granted that pregnancy is perfect
One day you discover there is a baby on the way
Nine months later is supposed to be a glorious day
Yet not all pregnancies wind up as planned
Some babies come early with much to bare
Preemies, we call them, have more time to share
They enter the world before all preparations are done
God brings them ahead of time for what we first do not know
Their small bodies still need so much time to grow

My blossoming daughter, you were born four months early
You kicked your way out so we could hold you longer
Yet you didn't realize it was going to make your growth harder
By the blessings of God you were born in a safe place
Unfortunately sickness over came you several times
But doctors and nurses were there on a dime
Tending to your care, watching vital signs
To fix what was ailing you and heal your wounds
Sometimes I think they love you like Daddy and I do
God has filled our hearts and given us strength
God has filled you with spirit and uplifted you with healing hands
We now know we can face any of lifes demands
Our journey with you has been amazing
We are so proud of our tiny baby
You have come so far to being our little lady.

Hi! You don't know us, but we've been following your baby girl for a while... Our son was a 23 weeker and had a difficult NICU course, but is home now and has blossomed, as I'm sure yours will too! Congratulations, and God bless!
