First and foremost, I want to send out a few thank yous. To the Spang Family, the package of preemie clothes you passed down are so adorable! That was an awesome item to open during a somewhat rough week. We will be sure to return them once Isabella out grows them. Then to Amy, Lauren and Ellie for keeping me company this week. It was great to spend time with each of you, especially while Chris was gone...it helped keep my sanity in check. Once again, without people like you in our lives, this journey would be much more difficult.
Now, as for Bella, she is peaceful tonight. I held her for a little over an hour this evening and she was absolutely content. She did have a heart rate dip while in my arms but it was related to her head positioning and one of the nasal prongs coming out of her itty-bitty nose. The only real adjustments they made today was stopping her IV foods (the TPN), reducing her fentanyl by the 10% per day, and changing the theophylline to an oral dosage that should concentrate throughout her body at a slower rate. Her food consumption is around 90mL per day and inching ever closer to that 3lb mark. I am hoping that when Daddy sees her tomorrow night she will be over the 3lb hump.
Romans 12:9-13
9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for this glorious day, for our precious baby girl and the gift of life, for our amazing friends and family, and for kind hearts. Please continue to uplift Isabella and fill her with the Holy Spirit. We pray for all the other families out there that are suffering and need your guiding hand. We hope that they are led to you in the midst of their trials and will do what we can to point them in your direction. We ask these things in your precious sons name, Amen!

Machel, I enjoy reading the writings of St. Paul in your blogs. They are always uplifting. In the most recent pictures, Bella looks bigger. Even has a little bit of a double chin. And she has her own little personality. Know that both of you are in our prayers and thoughts. Much love, M
Our pleasure to pass the clothes along! Glad to be a bit of a bright spot in a rough week! As always, Bella is in our prayers.
Yea!! I'm glad Bella got some of Sarah's clothes - I know they are cute ones!
Bella looks wonderful - she really does. I'm sure she is small to see in real life, but in the pics she now looks like any other regular, healthy, normal baby...probably just scaled down a little!! She looks so much stronger and healthier than the first few rounds of pictures.
