Sorry for the delay in the update! We went to dinner with Ellie and Shawn (local preemie parents) and then went to tuck our precious angel in for a long nights sleep. Needless to say we got back to the apartment kind of late and tired. Thank you Ellie and Shawn for a great night and awesome company, we really enjoyed it!
Bella is doing well. She had a very peaceful day yesterday. There were a couple of apnea and bradycardia episodes, but she pulled herself out of them just fine. It is very important that these events become shorter, less frequent, and she is able to stimulate herself out of them without nurse intervention. This appears to be happening and is a great relief. The only other note to make is that they started giving her a medicine for jaundice. This is nothing to be alarmed with and is fairly common. All other things are progressing just fine at this point. She definitely has her times where she acts like a normal newborn baby and finding her little ways of letting everyone know what she wants.
