Wow another day! She is almost 92 hours old now! She had a small breathing episode again this morning and they had to suction out some fluid in her lungs, but then she was fine and breathing like a little champion again! Every nurse has been so amazing and everytime we come to visit they all say hi and start off each conversation the same...."You know your little girl is a handful! She is a wiggleworm!" It is so amazing knowing that she is so active, such a fighter, I truly believe that her spirit is touched by the prayer that you all are bestowing unto her at this moment. God is watching over her and channeling all of her family and friends love and prayers into her little body.
I am so extremely excited, they did rounds this morning and the Drs again commented on what a great job she is doing! They think she is progressing great and are ready to increase her breast milk intake! She was taking 1ml every 6 hours, now they are going to give her 1ml every 3 hours and see how she reacts. (If she's anything like me she will react by eating it all and then want even more! I sure am happy that she seems to have my appetite!) I can't tell you the joy that I feel at hearing this fantastic news! I read Machel's blog update last night and she could see in my smile and tears that I was truly happy. It is amazing to me that my little angel can completely captivate my heart so thoroughly and bring me so much joy! I can't wait to hold her, hug her and smother her with kisses and all of my love!
Machel is doing great too. She seems to be fine from the delivery and her anxiety attacks are diminishing. Every piece of positive news brings us a step closer to being able to take her back to Texas to see a lot of you who have been praying for her. Machel is simply amazing, she is producing a lot of milk and she is always thinking about our daughter. I am truly blessed with a wonderful woman and a little angel! (But I think they are going to team up on me in the future to go shopping and do whatever they want and I have a feeling that Bella is going to have me wrapped around her little finger!) I am so excited, I can't wait for the next week or so when her fused little eyes open up and I can see her beautiful eyes. I have spent so much time sitting by her side that I can tell you every wrinkle, every crevis, every iv, every line from memory. I have her little beautifully frail image in my head always and forever. I am sure that 18 years from now when she is graduating high school and is a full grown woman I will always see her as my little frail angel, curled up in the NICU incubator, flailing her legs and moving her little arms.
Again, thank you all so very much for the prayers, the love, the flowers, the calls, the emails. Thank you all for being such amazing people. I thank god everyday for all that he has given us and I pray for all of you and your families as well. It is not much, but it is what I can do now. I will express my thanks and love to each of you as often as possible!
Lord bless my family, my little angel Isabella, continue to give her strength and answering our prayers. Lord please answer the prayers of all of the other families in the NICU as well, all of the children here are beautiful little angels. Lord please bless all of our friends and supporters as well, they are wonderful people who have showered us with love and kindness. Thank you Lord for all of these gifts and blessings that you have bestowed upon us. In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN.
