Baby Bella Day 7 cont.

I actually fell asleep while Chris was writing to you all this morning, at which time I had intended to write you all about something I watched this morning on Enjoying Everyday Life. Before 6:30 am I had never heard of Joyce Mercer. I walked up to the nursing room in the NICU and saw a woman standing outside the room staring at the TV in awe. I thought "wonder what she is watching this early?" As I walked in I was happy to see that it was on the Christian cable channel. Joyce was speaking to a huge audience that was captivated by her. One of the first teachings she went over as I walked in was about Jesus taking the bread, blessing the bread and BREAKING the bread. Her interpretation of breaking the bread was that often times we go through struggles in our life in order to be stronger and work harder for God. There are times that we get broken, but through God we can come back better than we were before. I just loved the way that God spoke to me first thing this morning through her and this show; besides seeing Isabella, it was a excellent way to start my day.

Another point that Joyce talked about was taking what we learn from God and sharing it. We are all ministers in a way; we don't have to do it in the masses or go on special mission trips (although those things are wonderful and provide great work)...we can simply lend out our hearts, our ears, and our hands to our neighbors, friends and family. Each one of you that has read this blog, commented to us, corresponded with us, said and spread prayers for us, and even gone as far as to help us out with realigning our lives has been a minister of God in this last week. Our family has been blessed by your tidings and we will be forever grateful.
